Air Conditioner Project

This is a portable AC unit that exhaust the heat out a tube.  The AC unit had a design flaw that made the fan run when ever the unit was on.  I rewired it so the fan only comes on when the compressor turns on.



This is the unit installed.  I used PVC to to exhaust the heat into the attic.  The tub does get warm.  In the futures I will wrap the tube with insulation.  I also rewired to the temperature sensor 6ft out side the unit.  It cools the room a lot better that way.



The unit was from Sears closeout section.  I purchased the unit the first week in April and they were just bringing AC units out on the floor.  I paid $199 on a $499 unit.
