Garage TV Project The mount
sets the 60" TV 8mm from the wall. The black tape below
the mount are the center of the studs. Power was run to
the right and the hole to the left contains HDMI, VGA w/audio,
composite w/audio, audio out from the TV, IR to the set top box,
center speaker wire, Ethernet and an alarm wire to the alarm
panel. All the wires are run 50ft to this location. An extra power plug was added. There are three additional ethernet lines run. One for audio over CAT5 from the main AV receiver in the house. One for the set top box and the last for the garage AV receiver. There are 4 speaker wires run to this location also. I am working on all the mounts and will post pics later.
I had to move to a three gang place and move the VGA to its own single gang hole because it is not decora. Here is a pic before I put the plates on.
Here is a pic of the plates
And a pic with all the wires.
This is the run inside the floor of the attic.
This is the other side of the run.
This is the feed above the TV. Power and low voltage are run separate.
This is how it looks like on the wall. You can see the small IR repeater on the bottom.
This is a cover so it does not stick out so much when people drive by.
This is the Karaoke setup.
These are a few pics I took before the wires were run.
